A critically important factor in accounting for the extreme political, social, and culture polarization of the American public today is that digital media in the form of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and 'information/news' web sites (especially on the far right and left of our political spectrum) informs more American citizens than traditional radio, television, newspaper, and magazine formats. This makes "Mind Over Media: Propaganda Education for a Digital Age" an important and essential addition to community, college, and library Political Science in a Digital Age collections and supplemental curriculum studies lists.
It should be noted for students, academia, political activists, governmental policy makers, digital media corporate executives, and non-specialist general readers with an interest in the subject that "Mind Over Media: Propaganda Education for a Digital Age" is also readily available in a digital book format (Kindle, $16.17).
-Midwest Book Reviews
Just like other books by Renee Hobbs, this book is theoretically deep while practical and easily applicable. Her books are very kind to readers - with an in-depth explanation of the concept and ideas, thoroughly explained examples, and step-by-step explanations of in-class activities. Of course, this book is not an exception. The book is full of great ideas and instructional practices of propaganda education. The book also inspired me with different teaching practices and activities. Highly recommend this book to educators and anyone who believes that we all need to be more critical and informed.

FROM School Librarian Roeland Smeets: "Hobbs pleads that the student should also be given the chance to choose a subject that fascinates him or her and do a complete research. The consequence of such an approach is that the young person (under supervision) goes through the stages of a search for information and will generally be motivated to bring that search to a successful conclusion.
